Thalia FREE COMUNITY FESTIVAL
is a series of concerts of Spanish and Latin American music and dance reflecting the diverse cultural roots of the Queens Hispanic community.
The performances are FREE of charge.
The XXIX FREE FESTIVAL continues Thalia’s mission of bringing performances beyond our theatre walls and into the heart of the community making the arts truly accessible to all. This festival unites people of all ages and backgrounds in a joyful celebration of Hispanic culture, creating a welcoming space for local Hispanic immigrants and offering a fun, informal introduction to our theatre.
For 27 years, THALIA’s FREE FESTIVAL took place outdoors in our local park, just a block away. But when the park closed for renovations in 2023, we didn’t stop—we brought the festival home! Now, every Sunday in June, we continue the tradition for free inside the THALIA SPANISH THEATRE, ensuring the community can still come together to enjoy the universal languages of music and dance.
Thalia recognizes the powerful impact of FREE FESTIVALS in breaking down barriers between communities, bringing people together to celebrate the beauty of their cultural diversity.
